This course is a survey of the world’s cultures and their interactions from the rise of civilization through the age of European expansion. Combines a chronological narrative of world history with a conceptual framework. Empowers students to question assumptions and recognize bias by encouraging historical debate. Develops students ability to process historical questions using analysis, synthesis and evaluation. Broadens students geographic literacy. Students taking this course for CCC credit must purchase the required books for this course.
