The Islanders are taking their musical talents to Lincoln.
Eleven students will represent Grand Island Senior High at the Nebraska Music Education Association All-State conference November 16-18, 2023.
These students will have the opportunity to perform with top musicians across the state of Nebraska at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln, NE. These student groups will be lead by nationally known conductors and will perform in a final concert on November 18.
Dr. Evan Lee, GIPS Fine Arts Director, said All-State is a great opportunity for these students.
“This is a great opportunity for our students to learn from world-class clinicians, and perform with some of the best musicians in the state of Nebraska,” Dr. Lee said. “We are very proud of these students and their accomplishments,” he said.
