This course is designed to teach skills that help students to succeed in real-life situations at home, school, work and in the community. Students will develop writing skills that have a specific purpose (letters, invitations, thank you cards), speaking skills (advocacy skills), listening skills (asking questions, listening for details, following directions), and reading skills (vocabulary, comprehension and reading for information)
