From the Principal:

A reminder as the weather starts getting colder.  We will go outside if the temperature is above 25 degrees, which includes the windshield temperature.  All students will go outside unless there is a note from the doctor indicating that your child cannot go outside.

If you are in need of a coat, please let the school know and we will get one for your child

Please remind your students of what they are to do after school.  Students are not supervised at the park after school.  For your child’s safety, please have your child be on school grounds.

Winter parties will take place on Wednesday, December 20th. Check with your child’s classroom teacher about bringing healthy treats.

From the Social Worker:

Bundle up!  We have been spoiled with some warm winter weather so far this year!  Please plan accordingly each morning for your children and send them with a winter coat, hat, mittens, gloves, etc. even if you think it is not cold.  They are outside for recess, which is longer than we think!  If you need help getting winter gear, please let me know!

Also, please let me know if you are interested in hearing about the English lessons that several Lincoln parents are participating in.  It would be great to have you join us!

Mrs. Smith

Nurse’s Notes:

I have noticed many of our students with chapped lips, and they are hurting! Please apply a chapstick or vaseline to protect their lips from the cold, dry weather. Reapply often!

It is the time of year for the common cold to be passed around. Unfortunately there is no curative medicine for this. But, we can give your child something for symptomatic relief. Feel free to bring any children’s cold medicine that is still in the box and not expired to my office to help your child throughout the day. Also, rest and hydration are both just as important as medicine to help your students get better!

PTA:

Lincoln Lynx T-shirt orders were sent home last month. Please send in your orders by tomorrow, December 5th. The plan is to get them turned in before the Christmas Break if we get them all in by tomorrow.
