Tennis Shoes, Tennis Shoes

Dear Knickrehm Families,
     As I am sure you are well aware of the cold weather outside, for the safety of your children I would greatly appreciate you sending your children to schcool with tennis shoes.  Students know that they can wear boots to school and simply change into their tennis shoes on PE days.  If you have any concerns or inquiries about this please feel free to contact the school and we will assist you the best way possible.  Thanks for helping me keep your children as safe as possible.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Olson

Health and Wellness
     On February 25th (Thursday) from 4:30-5:30pm we will be having our annual free family Health and Wellness Fair at Knickrehm.  Students must come with a parent and participate in all activities to be entered into a drawing for free prizes.
Activities include:
     *  Bowling with the DANGER players
     *  Movin' and Goovin' with Mrs. Lawson.
     *  A Nutritional Snack

FAST Families
We will be organizing a new class for FAST Families the month of March.  If you are interested in enrolling in the group or want more information about the program, please contact the school office.  Thank You!

Pennies for Patients- Fundraiser

Did you know that Leukemia is the number one type of cancer that affects children?  Our school will be raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Character Counts (student council) will once again be collecting spare change to support this great cause.  All the money we raise will go to find a cure for blood cancers and also give money to patients and their families to help with medical bills and expenses.

To add some excitement and fun to this fundraiser, there will be competition for the students and their classrooms.  These activities will take place the last part of February and the beginning of March.  By participating, not only will kids learn about making an impact, but about leadership, teamwork, philanthropy and what "doing good" for others can mean.
