This year, all GIPS juniors will join all juniors across the state of Nebraska in taking the ACT.
All Grand Island Senior High juniors will take the ACT on April 19. Starting this year, the state of Nebraska has replaced 11th grade NeSA with the ACT. This is a great opportunity for all students to take the ACT for free.
All juniors will take the ACT. GISH, Success Academy and CPI students will take the test at Senior High. Ombudsman students will take the test at the Ombudsman office.
Only juniors will attend GISH on test day. No school for grade 9, 10 and 12 students at Senior High, Success Academy, CPI or Ombudsman.
Students will report to GISH at 8 a.m. and go to assigned rooms for the test. The tests will last until 1 p.m.
Results will be sent to students in mid-May.
The ACT is a national college readiness test. The results are good for life. Once a student takes the test, they can utilize the results the rest of their life. It is an indicator used for college entrance and scholarships, and helps put students in classes for their senior year.
Please help GISH reach perfect attendance for juniors on April 19. This will be a great day for the Islanders!
