Success in the Middle

Middle school can be a tough time for kids. The Grand Island Public Schools middle schools have positive learning environments where students are pushed to find their passions and become responsible teenagers. Along with countless opportunities to build character, work with peers and grow educationally, our middle school students are surrounded by caring staff members. The nationally-recognized educational programs are supplemented with engaging activities to make sure all students are connected to their school. Sports, fine arts and clubs give students a chance to belong all while being prepared for the challenges of high school. Barr, Walnut and Westridge all provide an excellent learning and growing opportunity.

"GIPS did a great job preparing me for life after high school. Administrators, teachers and coaches helped me develop a strong work ethic, a sense of community responsibility and provided opportunities to achieve academic and athletic excellence."
