Register for Virtual Family Financial Fun Night!

On April 28, families will have a fun opportunity to learn about finances and money at the Virtual Family Financial Fun Night. This event is for elementary families and for middle school parents.

This free event is funded by a grant with Wells Fargo, and is co-hosted by the Center for Economic Education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Grand Island Public Schools, and GEAR UP.

Elementary families will enjoy the event via Zoom from 6-7 p.m. Middle School families will enjoy the event via Zoom from 7-8 p.m.

Elementary students will receive a packet with five activities to complete during the virtual event. The packet will include markers, crayons, coins, coupons, and other items the students need to do the activity. Activities cover topics such as earning money, the meaning of money, understanding needs and wants, how to track savings and expenses, and more. Upon completion of the virtual event evaluation, each student will receive a $5 Runza gift card.

Middle school parents will receive all information during the virtual event. Join us to learn more about planning and saving for college and children.
