Why I wanted to be a teacher?

I didn't think I always wanted to be a teacher. I have always loved working with kids and I felt like if I made it my job, then it would feel just like that… a  job. I am so glad I changed my mind. When you do something that you love and are good at, you never have to work a day in your life. I wanted to be a teacher because I wanted to be like my favorite teacher in elementary. She encouraged my curiosity and love for learning. I wanted to do that for kids. I wanted to make a positive impact on students' lives. Every day is an adventure and I enjoy being a teacher.

My favorite part about my job:

My favorite part of teaching is when I see growth in the students; whether it be academically, socially, or emotionally. When I look back at where the students were in the beginning of the year and then see the strides they've made in the year, it is so amazing! They grow so much! I just love that I get to be a part of that. I also love that my students teach me every day. I am right there learning with them and it makes my job a joy.
