IC message for Sunday, May 19th

Good afternoon Engleman Families,

We have several things to let you know on this exciting and busy last week of school, but most importantly, our entire staff would like to thank each of you for your support and encouragement this year!

Our last day of school for students this year is this Thursday.  We will dismiss at 11:30am.  There is no lunch served on Thursday.

A wonderful opportunity to encourage the love of reading during the summer months, is the summer reading program through the Grand Island Public Library.  This year's theme is "A Universe of Stories"!  Parents can click on the link below to register your student for the summer reading program. It's simple and students and parents can track the number of minutes students read during the summer and report it on the app.  We want the GIPS trophy at Engleman for being the elementary having the highest percentage of students completing 100 minutes of reading or more this summer!

Please register your student at www.gilibrary.org.

Registration notes went home with any student not registered for next year. If you received a note, please act as soon as possible to reserve your student's space for the 19-20 school year. We still have about 30 Engleman students left to register for next year. Please access through the parent portal site.  If you need any assistance, please call our school office during normal school hours and Mrs. Kolb and Mrs. Hudnall would be happy to assist you. All students must be registered before the end of this week.

We have a very large lost and found that includes lunch boxes, water bottles, jackets, coats, shoes, hats, mittens, etc. Our teachers take kids by the lost and found daily, and we would love to get this pile to be claimed. Any items unclaimed will be turned over for donation when school is out.  If your student is missing items, please have your student look and bring them home, or please feel free to come to the school, and let the office know you are there to find an item.  Our office staff will assist.

All families, also please check lunch balances, and allow enough funds to finish out lunches/breakfasts for the next three days.  Any money left in accounts will roll over for the fall.

Report cards and MAP testing results from spring will be mailed home. Please watch your mail. No report cards will be sent home.

Have a fun and safe summer, Wildcats!
