IC message for Sunday, May 12th

Good afternoon Wildcat families,

First of all, Happy Mother's Day to all our Wildcat Moms! We appreciate all you do for us!

Another HUGE thank you to all our EN families for the wonderful gifts of appreciation to our wonderful teachers and staff!  We have amazing support and we want to thank each and every Engleman family!

Our Engleman PTO also held a very successful Scholastic Book Fair this last week to put great books in the hands of students before summer! Thank you PTO!

Another wonderful opportunity to encourage the love of reading during the summer months, is the summer reading program through the Grand Island Public Library.  This year's theme is "A Universe of Stories"!  Parents can click on the link below to register your student for the summer reading program. It's simple and students and parents can track the number of minutes students read during the summer and report it on the app.  We want the GIPS trophy at Engleman for being the elementary having the highest percentage of students completing 100 minutes of reading or more this summer!

Please register your student at www.gilibrary.org.

We still have about 50 Engleman students left to register for next year. Please access through the parent portal site.  If you need any assistance, please call our school office during normal school hours and Mrs. Kolb and Mrs. Hudnall would be happy to assist you.

We have our rescheduled field day for K-3rd this Thursday, May 16th in the afternoon. Our 2nd and 3rd graders will be on the Engleman fields from 12:15 to 1:30pm.  Our Kindergarteners and 1st graders will be outside from 2:00 to 3:15pm.

We have several field trips and picnics this week and next.  All grade level specific information has been or will be shared with you by your grade level or classroom teacher.

We are all still excited to learn and grow even in the last couple weeks.  Thank you for your help in keeping our students rested and ready to learn during this fun time of year.

Have a wonderful week Wildcats!--
