Connected to the arts!

Grand Island Public Schools are dedicated to connecting students to the arts. 

Students have a number of opportunities to learn and cultivate talents, be creative and to take part in arts activities.

This section is for activities for students across the district, including all Grand Island Senior High activities. 

Art Club

Mr. Jeff Stern and Mr. Jerome Dubas

The band produces awesome sound and continues to bring home big hardware and Superior ratings from contests. MORE INFO


Mr. Jeff Vyhidal

Frosh boys and girls choirs are non-auditioned ensembles that meet as a class every other day; the frosh choirs perform at four formal concerts per year. Chamber Singers and Madrigals are auditioned choirs.

Drama/One-Act Plays

The theater department puts on a number of quality productions throughout the year; they need support and tech help as well as actors to put on successful shows. MORE INFO

Deb Lawson

An NSAA-level competitive team. Individuals and groups prepare speeches and presentations to use at speech tournaments throughout the state.
