Grand Island Public Schools is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all persons, including people with disabilities and to meeting or exceeding the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. The GIPS website seeks to comply with Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and the best practices and standards as set forth in level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1.
With that said, we are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. At this time, Grand Island Public Schools is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA.

Similarly, Grand Island Public Schools cannot guarantee the accessibility of content delivered by purchased or contracted services such as Synergy or MySchoolBucks. We will continue to work with our solution providers to encourage them to improve the accessibility of their products in future updates.
