The school day consists of the schedule of class instruction and class activities as established and sponsored by the school district. Each member of the professional staff shall be expected to observe the daily schedule, or its equivalent, in carrying out their individual professional responsibilities.

The district may occasionally schedule a school day for less than the standard minimum number of hours due to the scheduling of staff development opportunities, parent-teacher conferences, or special events occupying a portion of the day.
