6th grade Students reading nonfiction books from the Education Foundation Grant.
This year Walnut received a $1400.00 grant to purchase nonfiction books. These 6th graders are previewing the books to select their final choice for the blogging activity they will do with a nonfiction text.
Last Day for Check Out & Book Return
Friday, May 16th will be the last day for Walnut students to check out and return materials to the media center. Students who choose to check out books the morning of the 16th will need to return them after school on the same day to avoid charges on their check out sheets. If you have any questions about this upcoming due date stop by and visit with Mrs. Schutz.
Lost, Overdue and Missing Books
The end of the year is quickly approaching, students who have lost, overdue and missing books will be notified by the media center via their L.A. teachers. If materials still are not returned (within a week) a parent letter will be mailed home. This will avoid charges being added to your check out sheet at the end of the year. If you have items that need to be returned and are unable to locate them or feel that you have returned them, see Mrs. Schutz. We will be happy to work with you on trying to locate your books.
