Welcome to Shoemaker Elementary

Welcome to the Shoemaker Elementary School website! We are the home of the eagles  and invite you to explore our website in order to begin to get a glimpse of the great teaching and learning that is taking place at Shoemaker.  We are a proud school with great students, parents, and staff who work hard day in and day out to stay true to the Grand Island Public Schools motto of “Every Student; Every Day, a Success!”  Our school is comprised of approximately 300 students from preschool to fifth grade.  Our staff strives to maintain a positive learning environment that fosters high expectations for student learning, respect for one another, and developing students to their highest potential both academically and socially.  We are also very lucky to have an active PTO that assists and supports our entire school in a variety of ways throughout the year. Through these activities, our PTO and school work together to create a school community that is accepting of one another, welcoming to all, and creating relationships that go beyond the classroom.
