Activities Emergency Plan

Athletes will be given immediate attention for all injuries. The coach first in contact with the injured athlete will provide basic first aid and comfort to the athlete. A second coach will seek out the athletic trainer to assist in accessing the extent of the injury. Once the athletic trainer has assessed the extent of the injury, he will do one or more of the following:


* Provide immediate treatment

* Refer the athletic for therapy

* Refer the athlete to his/her physician

* Summon emergency medical personal


In the event that emergency medical personal are required, the athlete's parent/guardian will be contacted as soon as possible. It is recommended tat all athletes have an emergency medical waiver on file in the event that we are unable to contact a parent/guardian.
