The Student Council hopes to raise at least $1,000 from the sale of admission tickets to purchase Christmas gifts for residents of the Nebraska Veterans Home, Mann said.
The doors to the Heartland Events Center will open at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 23 for the dance. The first 500 students who enter the dance will receive a special door prize.
Tickets are $5 per person in advance and $10 per person at the door.
Tickets may be purchased at the Arbys restaurants on North Webb Road and South Locust Street and at Home Federal Bank at its Stolley Park Road and Skagway South offices.
