2007-08 GIPS Standard of Excellence Award

The 2007-08 GIPS Standard of Excellence Award will be awarded to 453 students in grades 2-12, who scored at the advanced level on every District Language Arts and Mathematics Assessment last year.  This award was created five years ago to recognize the excellent academic performance of Grand Island Public School students.

Our school district will personally recognize each recipient at special ceremonies on the follow dates:

Recognition Event
 6th-8th grade recipients Friday, September 12 at halftime of GISH home football game
2nd grade recipients Thursday, September 25, 6:30 p.m at Westridge MS
3rd grade recipients Thursday, September 25, 6:50 p.m at Westridge MS
4th grade recipients Thursday, September 25, 7:10 p.m at Westridge MS
5th grade recipients Thursday, September 25, 7:30 p.m at Westridge MS
9th-12th grade recipients Friday, October 10 at halftime of GISH home football game
