Media Literacy Program Philosophy

Integration Specialists are an extension of the classroom providing direct instruction and facilitation support to students and staff.  Integration Specialists provide opportunities for Grand Island Public Schools’ learners by:

  • enhancing lifelong media and technology literacy;
  • development and delivery of relevant, integrated and differentiated units;
  • serving as an advocate for High Ability Learners;
  • protecting the intellectual freedom of students and teachers;
  • providing access to appropriate media resources;
  • modeling lifelong learning through continued professional growth experiences.
