A tire swing is a pendulum because it swings back and forth when you sit on it. Sometimes it swings in the wind all by itself.

For the concept of the pendulum, fifth grade was required to create a drawing in Appleworks Paint using the advanced drawing tools.
The Board of Education will be recognizing Anna on her outstanding efforts in the Digies Competition 2008. This will take place after the beginning of the GIPS meeting at 6:30 p.m. on May 8th. She was the only finalist representing Newell Elementary in the K-6 competition this year.
