News from the media center for May

It's time to close the media center. We are asking parents to please make sure their students' books are either returned or paid for by Friday, May 16.

We will have a summer reading program at Newell again this summer. Details will be coming home in a note from Mr. Wolfe. We encourage students to take part. We are back at home in our newly-carpeted media center instead of in the cafeteria and look forward to seeing lots of students and their parents.

The theme for the summer reading program at Edith Abbott Library is "Catch the Reading Bug". We hope that Newell students will take part and try to win back the reading trophy that went to Newell so many times in the past for the large number of books read. We would love to see that trophy in our media center for 2008-2009! The dates are May 22- July 26.
