Kindergarten News

The kindergartners are off to a great start!  They have been busy making new friends as well as finding some old friends.  Each day is a new adventure.

Kindergartners have been keeping very busy.  Reading, writing, math, science, and social studies keep each day full of new learning experiences.

In September, the kindergartners met their first letter person, Mr. M.  During M week, we read If You Give a Moose a Muffin.  We graphed M & M candies by color, and then tasted each color.

Kindergartners have been doing a lot of patterning in math this month.  We’ve created patterns with manipulatives, drawn patterns, created rhythmic patterns, and found patterns on our clothing, or in our everyday environment.

READ!  READ!  READ!  Don’t forget about the reading reward goal.  Each kindergartner needs to read 150 minutes for the month of September.  Starting in October, your child will be needing to read 300 minutes each month.  If a completed reading calendar is returned each month, your child will receive a school-wide reading reward.  KEEP READING!!!
