Fifth Grade News

    This year is off and rolling in the fifth grade.  Ms. Johnson and Mr. Chadek are pleased to have Mrs. Runcie join the fifth grade team.

    Student Council elections were held September 5th.  Although all of the candidates had a lot to offer, only four could be selected.  The following students were elected to office: 

    President ~ Hailey Findley
    Vice-Pres ~ Daniela Villabona
    Secretary ~ Haleigh Cunningham
    Treasurer ~ Aaron Manka

5th Grade Reps are:

    Chandler Cox, Brianna Aguilar and Corie Snell.  We are proud of all those who campaigned.

    Band tryouts have come and gone.  The 5th grade teachers hope the band parents are enjoying the early stages of the band learning curve. :)

    The students have recently finished a science unit on nutrition and should be able to discuss healthy food choices.  Have conversations with them about the food pyramid.  We are now studying ancient Native American environments and cultures in U.S. History.

    Please partner with us to give your children an excellent year.  Continue to monitor your child’s planner and the notes that come home in backpacks.  Thank You!!!
