The 2nd grade class read the book Ronald Morgan
Goes to Bat by Patricia Reilly Giff. They then looked at famous baseball players'  baseball cards to find out information about the players. We took it a step further by having them make a baseball card using informative writing about themselves on Appleworks.

In this writing activies, we had our 2nd graders tell about the life as a 2nd grader using Comic Life. They showed interesting diolog and how much fun it is to be in 2nd grade.

  George Ancona is a man who uses his imagination to photograph the world around him.  Our 2nd grade class read his story, George ANcona- Then and Now and then took the digital cameras out to the playground and took pictures using their imaginations. The class presented their photographs on Appleworks with their own copying masterpieces following.
