Organizations


High Ability Learner Program - Students involved with this program receive additional support and challenge based on academic area(s) of strength and are monitored through the Response to Intervention (RtI) Process. 

Character Council - Students are selected through an application and teacher recommendation process. They work as a team with other 3rd-5th grade students over the course of a school year. They promote positive character traits through different activities that represent leadership, good character and making a difference in our elementary school community.

Junior Achievement - Junior Achievement is a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers.  Volunteers from a variety of businesses promote business education in a K-5 classroom setting.

P.T.O. (Parent Teacher Organization) - The Engleman Parent Teacher Organization is a strong organization within our school.  It is a partnership between parents, teachers, and school staff that creates educational opportunities for students through fundraising and volunteering. Stuhr Museum H.A.T.S. Program (K-5) - Heritage Activities for Today’s Students(H.A.T.S.) is a program sponsored by the Stuhr Museum, one of the nation's top-rated living history museums.  This program provides classes to each elementary grade level about what life was like as a prairie pioneer in the mid 1800's.

Chess Club - Students in grades 3-5 are invited to participate in an eight week club that teaches students how to play chess.

Fitness Club - The Fitness Club provides an opportunity for Engleman students to build a healthy habit of walking or running in a fun environment.  

Skills Academy - Fostering academic excellence, social skills and the well-being of students.

Thinking Caps Quiz Bowls - Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl is a company formed in 1989 by Harvey and Shirley Kimble in Urbandale, Iowa, offering upper elementary students a scholastic, computer team competition to schools nationwide.  Engleman Elementary students participate in the following Thinking Caps Quiz Bowls:
