Secretary's Report

December 8, 2008

Attendance: Kim Lewandowski, Sue Gannon, Ann Rathman, Missy Nelson, Stephanie Schulte, Tina Mason, Kim Padilla, Kari Price, Birdie Lopez, Leah Townsend, Michelle Carter

Secretary's Report: Approved

Treasurer's Report: Approved

Hospitality Report: 2 cards were sent

Pancake feed: Profit of approximately $667.52. PTO sent Tommy's Restaurant a balloon to thank them for helping to prepare the pancakes. Nintendo DS was a great idea and went well.

Winter Party: December 19^th at 2:30 p.m. PTO will supply cookies and drinks for all grades. PTO will supply smaller cookies to K-2 and bigger cookies to 3-5.

School Carnival- There is 5 committees that are set up and planning this event. Next meeting is January 5^th.

Book Fair- is in need of a new adding machine.

Teacher's Report: Michelle Carter demonstrated how they are teaching kids computer technology from a class she had attended. Leah Townsend demonstrated how they use technology in the class room by using photo booth.

Mrs. Mason- Explained how Reading Together Program works and affects our children.

PTO approved a second lab top. Estimation is $4,000.00. PTO also approved an adding machine for the Book Fair.

Mrs. Schulte- Asked that the PTO consider looking into Accu Cut for teachers. Estimation is $1,500.00 to start. Thanked the PTO for approving the second computer lab. 

Kim Padilla- won the $25.00 Skagway gift card.

A motion for an ATM debit card was made by Ann Rathman and seconded by Sue Gannon the majority attending approved this motion and the debit card is hereby approved.
