Pages
The Pages software was designed more for desktop publishing than for creating web pages. These projects can be posted to your web page as images, however they do take a little more patience.
When your project is complete, go to File and Export. Again you have several choices. If you want to post this on the web, select pdf.
Click on Next
Choose your Export location, normally the Desktop. Click on Export.
Once you have the pdf saved, double click on it to open it. It will open in Preview. Highlight the page number on the right hand sidebar.
Go to File and Save As. Make sure and change the format to jpeg and rename your project, page1 for example. Try to make your titles short and without spaces, dashes, etc.
If you would upload them to the server at this point, they would be very large. The next step then, is to resize them in AppleWorks. Remember I said it would take some patience!
Open AppleWorks Draw, drag and drop the jpeg into AppleWorks. From the top menu, drag down Arrange to Scale by Per Cent. Select 50%.
Resave your image, again changing the format to jpeg. Now you are ready to post on your web page.
Open Camino and log in to MODx
Select the page and location for your images.
Click on the image editor (tree icon). Browse and upload your first page.
Repeat the above process for all of your pages. Once you have the names of the images typed on your page, Post Changes and log out of your web page.
