Seventh Grade Level Instructional Technology Standards to be Mastered
 

 
As a result of their participation in Seventh Grade Instructional Technology, students will:

Strand 1: Basic Operations and Concepts

Strand 2: Social, Ethical, and Human Issues

Strand 3: Technology Productivity Tools

3.4.3 Use advanced web design techniques (e.g., animations, anchors, tables, frames, viewing
source/document/information files)
3.7.1 Enter and sort information in a spreadsheet
3.7.2 Create simple graphs (e.g., bar, pie, circle, line)
3.7.3 Use advanced graph formatting techniques (e.g., step size, 3-dimensional, color, shading, labeling)
3.7.4 Demonstrate basic spreadsheet functions (e.g., +, -, *, /, and average)

Strand 4: Communications/Collaboration

Strand 5: Research

5.2.2 Search the card catalog using strategies such as Boolean logic, +, -
5.2.4 Complete advanced online search strategies to access information (i.e., Boolean logic, +, -, ?, "", *)
5.2.7 Use word processor to take notes from electronic research

Strand 6: Problem Solving and Decision-Making

6.2.2 Recognize propaganda and the presence of bias and prejudice
6.3.1 Analyze resources in terms of date, author, source, and point of view

 
These standards will be expected to be mastered by students at a "successful" level.
Mastery occurs when students can demonstrate the standard at an acceptable performance standard at the time measured.
