Central Nebraska Support Service Program (CNSSP)

CNSSP is sponsored through the Grand Island Public Schools.  It provides services for 1900 students from Birth to Age 21.  CNSSP also provides services to 7 school districts and a number of non-public schools in Hall, Howard and Merrick counties.

The purpose of CNSSP is to aid member school districts in the following:

  • Identification of students with disabilities
    Assessing students' individual, special needs
    Providing a wide range of educational programs to meet those needs

To meet the needs of students, CNSSP offers member districts the following services:

    Diagnostic & Evaluation Services
    Occupational & Physical Therapy Services
    Programs for students with Mild, Moderate, Severe and Profound Disabilities
    Programs for students with Senory Impairments
    Early Childhood Programs
    Vocational Training Programs
    Day Treatment Program
    Homebound/Hospitalized Services
