The Grand Island Public Schools applies for grants from local, state, and federal sources. The grant development facilitator prepares grant applications and informs staff members about grant opportunities. Since January 2003, grant applications for the school district that have resulted in approximately $4.5 million in funding.Public Relations
The public relations coordinator for the Grand Island Public Schools prepares news releases, handles inquiries and requests for information from journalists, prepares school district publications ranging from brochures to annual reports, organizes special events such as groundbreaking ceremonies, takes photographs at school district events, places school district advertising, and completes other public relations tasks.District Services
