Claiming Scholarships

All scholarships granted through the Grand Island Education Foundation are awarded annually in May.

Scholarship payouts begin annually in July.

Scholarship payout requirements are such:

       Student must provide the Foundation with written proof of enrollment in an accredited college

       Student must provide the address of the college's Financial Aide Office

       Student must provide social security number or college student identification number

Scholarship payouts are made payable to the college and sent directly to the school's financial aid office to be placed on the students account.

Scholarships totaling less than $500 will be issued in one installment, usually in the fall.

Multi-year scholarships and scholarships totaling more than $500 are paid out by semester. Students must provide the Foundation with proof of enrollment each semester.
