First Grade Thoughts of Spring
Once in spring there was a bunny. He loved to hop with his
friend. He wasn't an Easter bunny. One day he hopped into a trap. He
cried for help. One of his friends came hopping by. The friend got
him out. They hopped up a tree and fell asleep.

In Spring robins sing. The birds are back, the bees are back.
Animals have babies too. My family goes for a walk with my dog. I fly
kites too. But we do have tornadoes in spring. Ducks have their young
too. Easter is coming.

I like spring because butterflies come in the spring. I get to
play with my friends. I get to eat my food outside and I get to go to
my friend's home. We get to play outside and pick flowers and look
for bees. We look for planes and count one, two, three, four.

I don't like spring because my birthday is in summer. Spring is
the time the ice starts to break. Trees start to grow. I like to ride
bikes and play football. I think spring is fun.

I like spring! The birds come out. The flowers start to come out.
You can start to play outside more. You can rollerblade. You can jump
rope. You can go bike riding. You can start to make a garden. You can
do lots of things. I like Spring!

I like spring. Flowers bloom, trees get buds, weather gets
warmer. I like to play badmitton. You plant flowers. You jump rope,
ride bikes and go to the park. You jump on trampolines and play ball.
I like spring. It is fun.
