How do groups shape who we are?  That is the question we, as a third grade class, answered as our podcasts developed.  To begin with we read a story titled ‘’ How My Family Lives in America’’ by Susan Kuklin.  This story showed how a young girl and her family used their traditions to become a stronger family unit.  Our class decided to see if this was true for us as well.  We questioned our family about our traditions and found out that each of us have one. Then we wrote about our findings and created these podcasts.  These traditions have proven to answer the above question.  Even though they show we are unique, they still make us part of a stronger community and allowed us to know that each of our families are special in our own way.  Hope you enjoy our traditions and think about your own.
