Stuhr Country School

I liked the Stuhr Country School because it was fun to experience school in 1888. We got to write with dip ink pens. We had to do math, reading, and language. They had their restrooms outside and we have ours inside. They had a wood-burning stove to keep them warm and we have electricity to keep us warm. Today we don't have different grades in the same classroom. In 1888 they had Kindergarten all the way to Eighth grade in the same classroom. Now we have separate grades. They had to walk or they ride their dad's horse to school. We get rides in cars to school. When they had a horse they had to take care of it. I had a lot fun at Stuhr Museum's Country School.
