The different thing about schools in 1888 and schools of today are toilets, how they got to school, the school buildings and heat. The toilets are different. They had privies outside and we have modern restrooms. We have cars to bring us to school. They had horses. Our school has 3 separate classrooms for each grade and they had one school with all grades it. We have a great big building with a lot of students in it. The school of 1888 was small and all the grades were in 1 room. Their desks were different than ours and instead of pencil they used ink and pens. I had a good time at the Stuhr School. |
