The Sioux were one of many tribes that lived and hunted in Nebraska. They lived mostly in the northwest part of Nebraska. The Sioux traveled because they were nomads. Nomads mean that the Sioux did not stay in the same place. Frequent attacks by white soldiers and the dwindling buffalo herds destroyed the way of life for many plains Indian tribes.
